Reflecting on 2025 & Looking Ahead to 2026

As we approach the end of 2025, we find ourselves reflecting on what has been an extraordinary year of growth, learning, and innovation at Pyramid Health. It's been a year that has fundamentally reshaped how we approach patient care in some respects, and we're incredibly excited to share both our journey and what lies ahead in 2026.

Looking Back: Big Changes in 2025

The Nutrition Revolution

Perhaps our most eye-opening discovery this year has been the profound impact that targeted nutritional support can have on musculoskeletal outcomes. We've always known that nutrition matters, but 2025 has really driven home just how much.

The Core 4 PLUS Repair & Prevent Bundle from IN Health

The Core 4 PLUS Repair & Prevent Bundle from IN Health

We began stocking clinical grade vitamins and minerals earlier this year, and the results have been nothing short of transformative for many patients. We've seen individuals who had been struggling with persistent, long-term pain finally find relief by addressing underlying nutritional deficiencies alongside their manual therapy treatments.

The connection makes perfect sense when you think about it. Your body needs specific building blocks to heal and repair tissues, reduce inflammation, and maintain optimal nervous system function. If those building blocks aren't present in sufficient quantities, even the best manual therapy can only take you so far. It's like trying to renovate a house without adequate materials—you can have the best builders in the world, but without bricks and mortar, progress will be limited.

What's been particularly rewarding is seeing patients who had almost given up hope experience genuine, lasting improvement. We're talking about people who had tried everything, who'd been told they'd just have to "live with it," finally getting their lives back. The combination of expert manual therapy, appropriate exercise prescription, and targeted nutritional support has proven to be a genuinely powerful approach.

We're so impressed by some of these outcomes that we're currently putting together a series of success stories to share with you. These real-life accounts will be coming to the blog soon, and we think they'll inspire anyone who's been struggling with persistent pain to see what's possible.

Needling Therapies

One of the most significant developments this year has been our expansion into needling therapies. Our chiropractor Mike undertook training in acupuncture, while Hannah, our sports therapist, has been utilising dry needling techniques to great effect.

Whilst both involve needles, these techniques serve different but complementary purposes. Acupuncture, rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, works with the body's energy pathways to promote healing and balance. It's proven particularly effective for managing chronic pain, reducing inflammation, and supporting overall wellbeing. Dry needling, on the other hand, targets specific trigger points in muscles to release tension and improve function—something that's been invaluable for our sports therapy patients dealing with acute injuries or persistent muscle tightness.

The response from our patients has been remarkable. It's not uncommon now to hear patients say they were initially apprehensive about needles, only to become enthusiastic advocates once they've experienced the benefits first-hand.

What we've learnt is that having multiple practitioners offering complementary needling approaches gives us tremendous flexibility in creating truly personalised treatment plans. Whether you're seeing Mike for chiropractic care with acupuncture or Hannah for sports therapy with dry needling, we can now address your concerns from multiple angles.

The Lisa Effect

receptionist lisa

In March 2025, Lisa joined our team as receptionist, and to say she's made an impact would be a considerable understatement. Within months, Lisa has become absolutely integral to the Pyramid Health experience—she's already part of the furniture, and we honestly can't imagine the clinic without her.

What Lisa has brought to the clinic goes far beyond answering phones and booking appointments. She's created an atmosphere. There's now a genuine warmth and hubbub around the clinic. Patients don't just come in for their appointments; they arrive a bit early to have a chat. They leave with a smile. The waiting area, which used to be a quiet space where people sat nervously flicking through their phones, has become a focal point full of easy conversation.

This might seem like a small thing, but it's not. We've learnt this year that the healing environment matters enormously. When patients feel welcomed, valued, and connected, they're more relaxed. When they're more relaxed, their treatments are often more effective. Lisa has taught us that exceptional patient care isn't just about clinical excellence—it's about creating an experience where people feel truly looked after from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they leave.

Looking Forward: What’s Coming In 2026

As proud as we are of what we've achieved in 2025, we're even more excited about what's coming in 2026. We've got several developments in the pipeline that will further enhance our ability to help you achieve your health goals.

Blood Testing Services

A test box from optimal testing

Building on our success with nutritional interventions, we'll be introducing blood testing and analysis in 2026. This is a game-changer for personalised care.

We'll be able to identify exactly what your body needs, meaning targeted supplementation for faster results. Whether we're looking at vitamin D levels, inflammatory markers, or specific minerals, blood testing will allow us to create truly bespoke nutritional strategies to complement your treatment.

Shockwave Therapy

We'll also be introducing shockwave therapy to our suite of treatment options. This innovative modality uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing in damaged tissues, and it's shown remarkable results for conditions that can be notoriously difficult to treat—things like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, and chronic tendon problems.

Shockwave therapy works by increasing blood flow to the affected area and stimulating the body's natural healing processes. For patients who haven't responded fully to other approaches, or who want to accelerate their recovery, this could be exactly what's needed.

Growing the Team

The expansion of our services and the increasing demand from our patient community means we're hoping to welcome more team members in 2026. We can't make any specific announcements just yet, but watch this space. As we've learnt with Lisa, the right people don't just fill roles—they enhance everything we do.

A Thank You

Finally, thank you to all of our clients, patients, friends and neighbours for your support and custom! We love what we do and it’s made all the better by the kindness, generosity and good humour of those around us. Have a fantastic Christmas and a happy and healthy 2026 from all of us at Pyramid Health!
